INTEGRATION / INSTALLATION
DELTAPLAN Soil System requires 1-time INSTALLATION every 5 years:
1. Activate the Deltaplan Soil System gel by mixing (dispersing) with the "installation water."
DOES NOT REQUIRE WETTING PHASE, will disperse on contact with water.
2. Apply the 'installation water' to the soil.
DOES NOT REQUIRE INJECTION INTO THE SOIL.
METHOD OF APPLICATION: SOIL SURFACE OVERHEAD SPRAYING.
INTEGRATION / INSTALLATION:
1. Measure the soil area.
Pre-existing vegetation (grass turf): shave the grass down when possible to maximize the soil surface exposure.
2. Refer to the table below to measure the appropriate Deltaplan Soil System gel-to-soil ratio and the installation water quantity.
- One gallon soil:
0.20 oz Deltaplan Soil gel + 2 oz water
- One cu ft soil:
1.46 oz Deltaplan Soil gel + 14.6 oz water
- One sq ft soil:
0.30 oz Deltaplan Soil gel + 3 oz water
- One sq mtr soil:
2.60 oz Deltaplan Soil gel + 26 oz water
- One acre soil:
800 lb Deltaplan Soil gel + 817 gallons water
3. Combine the gel with water in a tank with an agitator.
Mixing: The gel and water must be mixed thoroughly for at least 30 seconds.
Use a hand drill with a mixing attachment to substitute for a tank agitator, if necessary.
4. SPRAY the designated soil area using
- Hand-held spraying equipment
- Boom-spraying equipment
Use ALL of the designated 'installation water.'
5. Follow up with one full irrigation session.
CHANGING THE IRRIGATION SCHEDULES:
After the installation, continue with the current irrigation schedule for one week.
Starting with week two: decrease the irrigation water to 1/2 of the current consumption rate.
For example, if your irrigation system runs daily, 10 minutes per day - reduce the running time to 5 minutes.
